Web Reports

This Web Reports module allows external access to the central database. Primarily this is intended to allow individual sites to view graphs and reports of energy use to enable key decisions to be taken at a local level. The Web Reports system is configurable to allow access to only items of importance and both graphs and reports may be customised as required.

In addition direct meter readings may be taken and submitted. These are validated immediately and the user notified where values are outside an expected range. Graphs and reports from the submitted reads give immediate feedback of usage patterns to the user. Many of our clients now run monthly reports of all collected readings and forward to the supplier to ensure non estimated billing.

With the rollout of AMR the requirement for self reads will diminish. Where this is the case the SystemsLink AMR Data Collection service automatically provides data to the Web Reports system. This allows individual sites to view Day+1 data analysis thus enabling close monitoring of all situations. Remedial action can then be immediately taken when problems arise.

Customisation of reports is straightforward and powerful presentations can be designed with just a few hours work. A library of existing reports is available with in the package and these templates may easily be modified. Where new reports need to be created SystemsLink staff can help in the design. Reports and graphs may be rendered to the browser as either an image, pdf file or Excel spreadsheet.

Any number of sites may be granted access to the system. Users are given permission to view either one site or a group of sites. The application administrator is able to add usernames and passwords, and able to grant extra features to the users. Strong passwords are a configurable option with which passwords are case dependent and must contain a minimum of seven characters of which at least one must be a digit. All communication to the server is secure using https protocol. Clients may configure the screen heading to their own logo.
